Experimental techniques

We are performing electronic transport measurements (resistivity, magnetoresistivity, Hall effect) in the temperature range from 300 mK up to 300 K in magnetic fields up to 14 T. Besides these "standart" techniques, we are using fluctuation spectroscopy in order to investigate the intrinsic dynamics of charge carriers and micro-Hall magnetometry for studying the magnetic properties of individual magnetic micro- or nanostructures.

At the Department of the Physical Institute at Goethe-University Frankfurt we are accessing various thin-film fabrication (e-beam evaporation, sputtering, thermal evaporation), patterning (lithography techniques) and characterization techniques.

We also are performing magnetotransport measurements at the High-Magnetic-Field Laboratory Dresden at Forschungszentrum Rossendorf in pulsed magnetic fields up to 65 T.
